Salmon Cucumber with Scallion Cream Cheese: A Sophisticated and Refreshing Bite

Next, we have the Salmon Cucumber with Scallion Cream Cheese tea sandwich. It is a sophisticated option that brings a touch of luxury to your tea time. Delicate slices of smoked salmon pair beautifully with crisp cucumber and a smooth, tangy scallion cream cheese spread. The combination of smoky, creamy, and refreshing flavors creates a sandwich that’s light yet indulgent. It really is the perfect choice for those who enjoy a more refined tea-time treat. This sandwich is also packed with omega-3 fatty acids, making it as nutritious as it is delicious.

Key Ingredients:

  • Whipped Cream Cheese: A lighter, airier version of regular cream cheese.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning: The blend usually includes a mix of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic, dried onion, and salt.
  • Whole Wheat Bread: Often considered a healthier option because it contains more nutrients and fiber. This can aid in digestion and help maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese (8 oz), scallions (4), and everything bagel seasoning (1 Tbsp). Set aside.

  2. On a cutting board, lay two slices of bread. Spread a decent layer of the cream cheese across one slice. Lay 3 or 4 slices of cucumber on top, followed by about a quarter of the smoked salmon. Top with the other slice of bread and squish down slightly to adhere.

  3. Using a serrated or sharp chef knife, trim off the crust. Then skewer 3 toothpicks equidistantly along the midline of the sandwich. Carefully slice in between the toothpicks to create 3 tea sandwiches. Repeat process 3 more times.
